Environmental Protection – Safecom's Green Committment
All Safecom products are fully compliant with today's global environmental initiatives, helping support the environmental policies of CATV operators.
Safecom products comply with the European Union's Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restriction of Use of Hazardous Substances, (RoHS). All products are either fully compliant with or exempt from the RoHS directive in regard to the use of lead in solders for network infrastructure equipment for switching, signaling, transmission as well as network management for telecommunications.
All Safecom technologies are intrinsically environment-friendly, being based on modern 'battery-free' backup and power delivery technologies and providing significant power saving. Both of these elements help the efforts to reduce CO2 pollution and acid leakage.
As part of its ongoing commitment, Safecom continues to work proactively with its supply chain to ensure compliance with EU directives as well as to improve the procurement and utilization of reliable, environmentally responsible alternatives to hazardous substances.
